My studio is fairly “clutter free” at the moment. Of course, free spaces mean that I have the opportunity to make a pile here and a pile there of things that need to be shipped to the Sauder Workshop, August 17-21. Even though that event is a few weeks off, everything has to be in the mail by the middle of next week as I start heading East a week from this Friday. Fortunately, all my student needs for the week-long hooking class I will teach, as well as the Wednesday night Prodded Flowers class I am doing, have already been sent out. However, there are still some big piles that need to be assembled … and Tuesday night was my last free night before I leave .

An “easy” pile to make is the one of rugs I will loan to the Sauder Exhibition. Regular readers will probably look at this collection and say: Oh no … them, again? However, there are very logical reasons why I chose this batch. The big rug had to go … and the other two little ones will easily fit in the same box!
If you live anywhere near Archbold, Ohio, you ought to do everything in your power to attend this exhibition as it is one of the best collection of rugs you will see all year. Besides this year’s Celebration Winners and attendee submissions, Mary Shepphard Burton’s Noah’s Ark will be on display.
If you can make it to the Sauder Workshop and Exhibition, please stop by and say hello.
